More chestnuts and old roots

I just got another bag full of chestnuts so I slit the shells and set them roasting on an electric fire - the oven - not an open fire. We have some pumpkins that are very ripe and ready to explode, some green eggplants to fry (like fried green tomatoes but different) and some very rotten potatoes - not sure what to do with those. Either my mom-in-law is trying to poison me or she was just trying to share. She hoards the vegetables and then hastily gives them away just before they explode. Why didn't she give them to me before?

I spent most of the day trying to make websites. I am too old to play with computer stuff and both sites need a lot of editing but it is a start.
