Stake'n Peas

Did that Chilean earthquake knock the earth out of the sun's light as well as off our axis? Honestly, if spring sunshine does not erase this gloom I will go mad.

I staked the peas - probably too late- that are creeping along the muddy mess we call a garden. My neighbor did it so nicely, somehow draping the straw neatly from a bamboo pole so the peas creep up the straw. Mine was not nearly as impressive so we will skip the photo on this and just hope the damn peas grow.

The weeds are beckoning me for attention - they tease and taunt and thrive in this weather.

Aw, wish I could send you some of our sunshine. We've had some spectacular days--bright, sunny, breezy, cool enough not to sweat, which is how I like it. :) The blizzards up North, while hellish on Northerners has brought us a refreshingly brisk winter with that unsurpassed winter sunlight we get in Miami. My fave time of year for that crystalline gold-silver light.

Hubby and I had a daiko workshop Sunday at the Japanese gardens down here. Made me think of you and yours somehow. :)

We'll be going back for the Hatsume festival. :D

Hang in there. Sun is coming.
