I wish something that exciting happened. It is hard to see without being able to take a picture from above- but these oddly shaped patterns appear in the fields before harvest time. It looks like a big paw or foot stepped on the field in random patterns, flattening all the stalks in perfect lines. It happens right after a rainy windstorm- so, it must be aliens! I understand that some of the stems may be too wet and the wind patterns are variable, but it is hard to explain the randomness and shapes...could there be a phantom of the fields? some disgruntled farmer's ghost?
