Wheat at home

I salvaged one bag of wheat for next years seeds and salvaged another bag for our personal use. These grains are set out on the deck under the sunshine to dry. When the wind is strong enough, we will winnow the grains the old fashioned way - toss them in the air and hope that the dead bugs and straw blow away. I have a hand mill to grind the grain into whole wheat flour for bread. Because of our poor harvest, I only saved about 35 kg of wheat for our personal use but since we don't have a cool storage place, that is probably all we can store without it spoiling during the summer.
